FAQs
Why am I only allowed one virtual permit account?
This is so everything is fair and equal to all users and that multiple accounts cannot be held by one property potentially allowing more vehicles to park than they are permitted.
Can I add more than one vehicle registration to my account?
If the terms of your parking allow, then you will be able to add multiple vehicle registrations onto your account however, you must choose which vehicle registration you would like to be ‘active’ i.e. the vehicle you are parking.
Why do I need to apply for an e-permit and with documentation?
This is so we can determine you are a genuine user of the parking space or right to park and the documents requested are to confirm your proof of address.
Where does my e-permit authorise me to park?
Your e-permit will be linked to your allocated parking bay(s) in which you are authorised to park or, will be linked to your right to park in the designated parking areas on a first come, first served basis.
How long will it take for my application to be approved?
Upon receiving your application, you should expect to have your account approved and activated or declined with reasons for this within 2 working days.
When can I access my account?
Once you have received an email to confirm your account is active, you will have 24/7 access to your account to add or change your vehicle registration(s) so you have full flexibility and convenience with how you wish to manage your parking.
How do I setup my password?
Once you have received confirmation your account is active you will be able to set-up your own password when accessing your account for the first time.
Does my e-permit expire and if so, when?
All e-permits are set-up with a 12-month expiry. Your e-permit will automatically renew.
Will I be notified before my account renews?
Yes, you will receive an email notification prior to your permit renewal for the next 12-month period.
How much does my virtual account cost?
The cost for your virtual permit will be provided when you make your initial application.
What are my options to make payment?
You will be able to set up your preferred payment option when you make your application for your e-permit account and pay either a one-off annual payment or on a monthly recurring payment basis.
What are the ways in which I can pay?
You will be able to make your payment via MasterCard, visa debit, apple pay or google pay.
When will payment be taken?
Payment will only be taken from your account once your application has been approved. If you have chosen to pay annually a one-off payment will be taken. If you have chosen monthly, then a recurring payment will be taken on or around the 1st of every month after the initial payment has been made.
Why do I not have a physical permit?
We do not provide physical permits as this reduces the cost to you for payment of any new or replacement permits and importantly reduces the chances of mistakes being made for non-display of a permit which may lead to enforcement action.
Why do I require an e-permit to park?
To ensure that the parking operator knows which vehicles are authorised to park within a marked bay or designated parking area.
Can I book visitor parking through my virtual permit account?
If there are visitor parking facilities on site and you have permissions to use them, your account will be set-up for the use of e-vouchers.
Do I have to pay for e-vouchers?
E-vouchers for visitor parking can be purchased through the user’s account. Please refer to any communication received about pricing for e-vouchers or refer to your account for more information.
Where can my visitors park?
Please refer to any enforcement signage located throughout the car park(s) for information on where visitors should park.
How long can my visitor park for?
Your e-voucher, as standard allows your visitor to park for a 24-hour maximum stay however, this may differ from site to site so please always check your account and the parking signage to confirm.
What is ParkSimple’s E-combo?
Our E-combo service is a combination of our e-permit and e-voucher if both are required.
What is the benefit of choosing the E-combo?
If you require to park your vehicle and have use of visitor parking, the e-combo account will provide both services and provide you with a discount on the overall price to pay.
What if I have a carer, where and how do they park?
You should make your enquiry to the parking operator who manages the parking on the scheme and will advise of such provisions.
How do I report an unauthorised vehicle?
You should make your enquiry to the parking operator who manages the parking on the scheme.
What should I do if I have a contractor needing to park?
You can use your e-permit account to add the contractor’s vehicle registration and make this active for their time of parking (please remember to re-activate your vehicle back onto your account when they leave). Alternatively, please contact the parking operator who manages the parking on the scheme for further advice. It is not recommended you use your e-vouchers for such parking.
Why does ParkSimple not enforce?
ParkSimple provides you with our e-permit solutions to authorise you’re parking which is for customer service and does not conflict with the parking operator who provides the enforcement service.
Who do I contact if I have any problems with my account?
